# Charcoal

Charcoal is a crafting component. It is the byproduct of burning wood in the [Smelter](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/smelter.md) or [Campfire](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/camp-fire.md).

Players can also use it to trade items for it in a [Vending Machine](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/vending-machine.md).\

It is a crafting material.\
Stackable up to 1000 units.<br>
