# Iron Bar

Players can get Iron Bars by crafting them in the [Workbench](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/workbench.md). Iron Bars can also be found in Barrels and at the [Pirate Event](/tribals.io-wiki/special-events/pirate-event.md). Iron Bars can be used for crafting items, upgrading [Big Storage](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/big-storage.md), trading items in the [Vending Machine](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/vending-machine.md) or for upkeeping your base. Players can also decide to smelt back Iron Bars to [Iron Fragments](/tribals.io-wiki/items/resources/iron-fragment.md) in a Smelter or a [Campfire](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/camp-fire.md) the ratio being 1:2. They are rare and very valuable. 

To craft 5x Iron Bars in the [Workbench](/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/workbench.md) you need to use 25x [Iron Fragments](/tribals.io-wiki/items/resources/iron-fragment.md).
