# Iron Fragment
Players can get Iron Fragments by smelting Iron in the [Smelter](https://wiki.tribals.io/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/smelter) or the [Campfire](https://wiki.tribals.io/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/camp-fire). Iron Fragments can also be found at the [Pirate Event](https://wiki.tribals.io/tribals.io-wiki/special-events/pirate-event). Iron Fragments can be used for crafting items, upgrading [Storage](https://wiki.tribals.io/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/wooden-box-storage), trading items in the [Vending Machine](https://wiki.tribals.io/tribals.io-wiki/building-elements/vending-machine) or for upkeeping your base.
